Show Lapoint Cattle Men lame lew President LAPOINT David Jenkins, of Lapoint was elected president of the Lapoint Cattle Association Associa-tion at the annual meeting of the organization held. Feb. 26, at Lapoint. He replaces Ray Sprouse, who headed the organization organ-ization during 1950. The meeting, attended by six livestock permittees, was presided pre-sided over by President Ray Sprouse. Plans were made at the meeting to give full protection protec-tion to the newly re-grassed portion of their allotment on Lake mountain. This unit, it was pointed out, must have complete com-plete protection for three years while the new grasses are firmly firm-ly establishing themselves. A discussion on range conditions condi-tions and factors influencing the management of this range unit was given by Wm. D. Hurst, supervisor of the Ashley National Na-tional forest. Mr. Hurst pointed out that a substantial portion of the forag must be un-utilized at the close of the grazing season if the range is to perpetuate itself. |
