Show &aitcfett Viola Jensen ! Primary Classes Honor Mothers Each class in Primary held a Mother's Day party Tuesday. Many mothers came and were given a gift. Refreshments were served. Miss Delsa Durfee and Mrs. Lee Wardle took their Primary classes to the home Of Byron Peay Tuesday for their closing party. Light refreshments ,were served. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence C. Wall, Jr. and family returned home Tuesday evening after a visit in Salt Lake City and Prove Pro-ve J. P. Stevens returned with them. Richard Cardo, Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon J. Lewis and family, of Sahara Village, visited Wednesday Wed-nesday and Thursday at the home of Mrs. Lewis' parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Jensen. During the last week of school Mrs. Hutchings took her 7th and 8th grades through the new Union high school building. Mr., Hutchings acted as guide. Then Mr. and Mrs. Hutchings took the children to their home and served serv-ed them cherry pie and ice cream. Two local students graduated last week from Alterra high school: Mrs. Leah Mae P. Chandler Chand-ler and Miss Marian R. Jensen. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Sharp and family, of Gardenia, Calif , are visiting with Mrs. Sharp's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Anderson. Mrs. Carol Stevens and family, fam-ily, of Salt Lake City, are visiting vis-iting with Mrs. Stevens' mother, Mrs. Zilpha Wall. Mrs. Wall and daughter, Deon, spent a week visiting in Salt Lake City with Mrs. Stevens. Miss Marian Jensen is visiting her sister, Mrs. Carol Lewis, of Sahara Village. Dennis Jensen, the small son of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Jensen swallowed a straight pin recently, re-cently, which lodged across his throat. He was rushed to Roosevelt, Roos-evelt, where the pin was removed re-moved without any ill effects. |
