Show Stella Underwood Denver Minister Holds Services The Reverend Carl C. Har-wood, Har-wood, from the Denver Bible Institute, and three graduates from the school, Bert Banzhaf, Wm. Renstrom and Miss Elsie Fick, held services at the Gusher Gush-er Union church Thursday night, May 17. Mrs. Inez Hackford and daughter, daugh-ter, Eleanor, and Betty and Pa-! tricia Myers attended the Senior tea held Monday night at the home of Mrs. Ray Jordan, of Roosevelt, honoring the gradu-pting gradu-pting girls Of Alterra and Roosevelt Roos-evelt high schopls. Mr. and Mrs.' BiU Mellon, of Salt Lake, visited las,t week with Mrs. Mellon's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wallis McCarrell. Mrs. A. C. Talboe, of Myton, visited Sunday with her grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. Francis Semken. During the day they drove to Randlett to visit Mrs. Talboe's other grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Eliza-beth Nebeker. Mrs. Elsie Domgaard took Mrs. Naoma Jacobs to Vernal Friday of last week' for medical med-ical treatment. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Giggey and children, Sandra, Dennis, i Linda and Richard, left Thurs-i Thurs-i day of last week to spend the week-end in Boulder, Colorado, with Mr. Giggey's parents. They returned Sunday eyening. i Mr. and Mrs. Carl Ross, of Roosevelt, have moved into one of the Guy Underwood cottages. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Davis left Saturday morning for Salt Lake and Ogden to spend the weekend week-end on a combined business and pleasure trip. They visited in Ogden Og-den with Mr. Davis' mother, Mrs. Anna Jackson. I Mr. and Mrs. Joe Roybal, of Ogden, spent the week-end with Mrs. Roybal's parents, Mr. and . Mrs. Wm. Arnold. I Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Arnold have received word from their i son, Billie, that he and his bud- die, Arlen Jensen, left the Un- ited States on April 17 and ar rived in Japan May 1. They leu Japan for Korea on May 8. The boys are seamen apprentices in the navy. Those visiting at the Leonard Farnsworth home during the past week were Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Smuin and small son, of Craig, Colorado; Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Farnsworth and children, of Myton. Lynn brought his new baby daughter to see her grandparents. This is their first girl, they have two boys. Mrs. Eva Rushton and Mr. and Mrs. Orin Thomas, of Sandy, San-dy, arrived Sunday to get a few of Mrs. Rushton's belongings. Mrs. Rushton will spend the summer with her daughter, Mrs. Orin Thomas. The Gusher area is beginning to suffer for water. The town's reservoir has been dry for the past two weeks and everyone has had to haul water. There has been no irrigation water thus far this spring. The boys in the Guide class in Primary who graduated Sunday Sun-day night at services in the Gusher ward house were Don Eskelson, Verl Iorg and Charles Winn. The Seagull girls will be graduated grad-uated at 4 o'clock Monday afternoon af-ternoon from the Roosevelt stake house. There will be four from Gusher ward. Mr. and Mrs. Val Bodily, of Salt Lake, visited Sunday with Mr. Bodily's parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Bodily. |
