Show Kiwanis Offers For '58 Sesfed At Ladies'-Party Carl Harrison, agent for Allis-Chalmers Allis-Chalmers farm equipment and manager of the Basin Implement Co. last night was installed as the 1953 president of the Roosevelt Roos-evelt Kiwanis Club by Lt. Gov. H. W. Marrs, of Vernal. He succeeds suc-ceeds Floyd R. Peterson, who retires re-tires Dec. 31 after serving during dur-ing the current year. Other officers and directors installed at a special ladies' night include Orson Stevens and Robert Montgomery, vice-prasi-dents; Don Nielson, secretary; Parley Rawlings, treasurer; Don Truman, Cliff Memmott. B,?rt Burgess, J. D. Walker, Howard Harmston and Grant Killian, di--ectors. Retiring as vice presidents presi-dents are Wilford Robinson an 1 Mr: Burgess. Lt. Gov. Marrs" inducted Orvil Rudy as a new member, and Mr. Robinson, retiring membsrshiD and attendance chairman, presented pre-sented five perfect attendance tabs to Pres. Harrison and Don Nielson for 1-year; Floyd Peterson Peter-son and Mr. Robinson, 2-ysar,; and Cliff Memmott received an 18-year tab. Presiding over the meeting a; toastmaster was Bob Montgomery, Montgom-ery, and those performing on the program included a vocal solo by little Miss Dsane Win-terton; Win-terton; vocal duet, Mr. and Mrs. Dwain Buchanan; solo, Mrs. Buchanan; and a reading by Mrs. Bert Gardner. Dave and Ella Watkins directed grouo singing, and the program was arranged by the Kiwani-Anns, with Mrs. Montgomery and Mrs. -Watkins in charge. Guests in addition to those who appeared on the program were Dr. and Mrs. Don Mantyla and Charles Dixson, member of the Spanish Fork club. |
