Show Ballard Mrs. Ellen Bracken Xmas Program Planned For Ward Sunday School faculty meeting meet-ing was held Wednesday evening, eve-ning, Dec. 10, at the home of Mrs. Geo. Bracken. The following follow-ing officers and teachers were present: Marvin Kettle, Fred Cook, Earl Winn, Vida Betts, Vaughn Simper, Max Todd, Nita White, Inez Squire, Fannio Todd, Myrtle Winn and Beatrice Lundberg. The Christmas program was arranged for. Mrs. Bracken served refreshments, refresh-ments, with Christmas colors predominating, after the close of the business meeting. Geneology meeting was held Thursday evening, under the supervision of Pres. Seth Asay. Mr. and Mrs. John H. Cook were home missionaries at Leota Ward on Sunday. Wendel Johnson went to Salt Lake City on Sunday, Dec. 7, to visit his father, who is in a hospital hos-pital there. He was accompanied by two of his children. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Ashby are the proud parents of a baby boy born at the Roosevelt Hospital last week. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond El-dredge El-dredge have moved into their1 new home Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Swisher, who have lived in Roosevelt the past few months, have moved to Montana. They have sold their home in Alterra to Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Sixkiller. Relief Society members met for a work day at the chapel on Tuesday. They quilted a quilt for Mrs. Lawrence Brighton. A delicious lunch was enjoyed at noon. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hatch, of Heber, were recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Hatch. Mr. and Mrs. Junior Betts and their two daughters visited Sunday Sun-day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Betts at Tridell. Mr. and Mrs. Geo Bracken received a telephone call from their son, Guy, at lone, Calif, Monday, that he and his wife were proud parents of a baby boy. Glen David, born at Sacramento, Sac-ramento, California, on Dec. 8. This makes 17 grandchildren for Mr. and Mrs. Bracken. Mr. and Mrs.: Melvin Bingham Bing-ham and family, of Herriman. were visitors Tuesday at the home af Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bingham. David Lundberg was involved in an accident last week and his car was damaged. Mr. and Mrs. Elton Kettle took their family to Vernal Saturday Sat-urday morning to visit Santa Claus. Quite a few of th? Ballard Bal-lard youngsters were in Roosevelt Roose-velt Saturday afternoon to tell their wants to Santa Claus. Mr. and Mrs. Mont Pou'son and son, Milton, visited their daughter and son-in-low, Mr. and Mrs. Karl Shisler, at the Tom Shisler home Saturday afternoon. af-ternoon. Mr. and Mrs. 'James Butcher are rejoicing over the arrival of a baby girl. Ned Gines entertained his Sunday School class at his home Friday night, Dec. 12. There were 30 children present. .Virginia .Vir-ginia Jenkins and Carla Stanley were in charge of arrangements. Christmas gifts were exchanged. Mr. and Mrs. Eric Stolla received re-ceived word this week a son had been born to Mr. and Mrs. Gerhard Stolla in Salt Lake City on Dec. 9. Miss Myrtle Collins has been released as a Sunday School teacher because she has been called into the Indian mission Mr.- and Mrs. Angus ' Anderson Ander-son returned from Salt' Lake City Saturday, where they had spent a week. Mrs. Farrell Rasmussen spenl several days in Salt Lake City last week, caring for her daugh ter, Mrs. Glen Broderick, who had '"just returned from the hos pital with a baby boy. |
