Show Mr. Bertha Angus Mr. VlolU Oezry Now It Is Cpl. Elmer Lemon Mr. and Mrs. Reed Lemon have received word that thel: son, Elmer, has been advanced to rank of corporal. Elmer is serving in Japan at the present time. Mr. and Mrs. Guy Percival and daughter, Faye, of Provo, spent Tuesday with Guy's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Per cival. Squire Mangum and Leland Angus, of Ballard, and Mrs. Emily Em-ily Wilkerson, of Roosevelt, visited vis-ited Friday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Marchant. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Richens spent Sunday of last week with Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Mecham, of Hancock Cove. THURSDAY CLUB Mrs. James Lloyd was hostess to the Thursday Club at her home Dec. 11. After spending a pleasant afternoon and enjoying enjoy-ing delicious refreshments. Christmas gifts were exchanged. Present were Mattie Morten-sen, Morten-sen, Edith Gentry, Olive Soren-son, Soren-son, Jo Yergenson, Sarah Bro-kaw, Bro-kaw, Violet Gentry, and Dean Lloyd, who was a club gueat. Mrs. Orson Olsen, ef Ephraim. spent a few days with her brother broth-er and sister-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Senor Mortenson. Mrs. Clarence Jones and children, chil-dren, of Roosevelt, called on Mrs. Stella Ames Friday. Several cases of measles were reported in loka during the pat week. Mrs Archie Benson came in from Salt Lake Saturday, returning re-turning to the city Monday. Mont Lloyd, of Salt Lake, cared for business matters in loka over the weekend. Mrs. Fontella Calder, of Salt Lake City, is staying with her father. Wm. H. Stone while Mr and Mrs. Garrett Stone and son, Lee, so to Georgia to get their son, Barth, who has completed a two-year mission for the LDS Church. Boy Scouts and leaders went Saturday to get Christmas trees. Marie Benson, who is living in Salt Lake City this winter, spent the weekend here look-in-' after their thin".
