Show teetch-Setthett M"FjernHoust Missionary Talks At Sunday Meeting Elder Glenn Eldredge, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Eldredge, El-dredge, was the guest speaker at church Sunday. He recently returned from a mission to the New England states. The topic of his speech was "Are We Using Us-ing the Wealth We Have for the Betterment of Mankind." Ailbert Harris represented the Stake High Council at the meeting. meet-ing. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Haslem have received a letter from their son, Wayne, stating that he had met a cousin, Kay Meecham, of Vernal, who had recently arrived in Korea. They were indeed a happy pair of boys. Wayne has been in Korea for a year. Mrs. Gladys Stoffer, of Abilene; Abi-lene; Kansas, is visiting Mrs. Frances Bowen. Later she will visit friends in Rangely, Colo., and spend some time with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Coltharp at Dug way. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Parker are the proud parents of a baby girl born June 15 in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Parker is the former Delia Bolton. This makes their second daughter. Bill Coltharp is back at Dug-way Dug-way doing some construction work. He has moved his family there, and they expect to be gone some time. Miss Bertha Bolton left recently re-cently to spend the summer in Salt Lake with her sister, Mrs. Kelvin Williams. She will return re-turn for school this fall. Jimmy Miller, of Oakland, California, is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Coltharp, where he plans to visit until fall. Lynn Haslem is attending summer school at the B Y U. He came home for the weekend. Mrs. Gerold Bolton is home from the Roosevelt Hospital with her new daughter. Nila. Mrs. Frances -Bowen, Mrs. Gladys Stoffer and Kaye Bowen were dinner guests . Saturday at the home of Mr.- and Mrs. Gee. Houston. Billie Haslem and Lowell D. Long attended a ' birthday party given in honor of Miss Moneta Freestone at Vernal at the Albert Al-bert Freestone home, Saturday night. Mrs. Floyd Harmston entertained enter-tained at a dinner party Sunday. Her puests were Mr. and Mrs. Leo Hancock. and Mj. and Mrs. J. A. Houston. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Hamaker pnjoyed having relatives from Oreeley, Colorado as visitors. Thev were on their way. to the northwest on a . pleasure trip oi visited here a couple of days. |
