Show ARCADIA Mrs. Elsie Bird Party Compliments Wayne And Pvt. John Capson Monday evening a party was given in honor of Wayne Cap-son Cap-son and his brother, Pvt. John Capson, Jr., at the ward hall, under the direction of the MIA. A very enjoyable evening was spent playing games. The following program was presented: Community singing, conducted by Ellen Gilbert, accompanied ac-companied by Arlene Gilbert; reading, Ronald Zirker; song Ellen El-len Gilbert; reading, Betty Evans; Ev-ans; tribute to Wayne, Mrs. Marion Mar-ion S. Shields. Refreshments were served to a large crowd. Wayne and John, Jr., left ' Tuesday for Long Beach and Oceanside, California. They stopped in Salt Lake to visit relatives on their way. Mr. and Mrs. John Capson, Sr., Eleanor and Roland, visited in Salt Lake Tuesday and Wednesday Wed-nesday of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Brady, of Bridgeland, attended the party par-ty for Wayne and John Capson, Jr. Monday night. Mrs. Marion S. Shields and Mrs. Elsie Nielson, of Myton, went to Salt Lake Tuesday to do temple work. While there they attended the funeral services for Hillery Holder. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin G. Shields, Mrs. Gladys Ross, Mrs. Elsie Nielson, Ramona Nielson, all of Myton, and Wanlesi Shields, of Bridgeland, went to Salt Lake Friday to attend funeral fun-eral services for Paul Sag'ers, a nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Shields. Paul made his home with the Shields for a year and a half before joining the service, where he contracted kidney trouble. He had been ill for the past two years. Mrs. Rose Gilbert, Ellen Gilbert, Gil-bert, Golda Jensen and Gladys Ross made a trip to Vernal on Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Gordon, and Mr. and Mrs. Art Smith, all of Tooele, visited during the week with Mr. and Mrs. Marvin G. Shields. Mrs. Gordon, Mn. Smith and Mrs. Shields are sisters. |
