Show Legion Baseball Schedule For Basin Starts The Roosevelt American Legion Le-gion junior baseball team turned turn-ed back Fort Duchesne on June 18 in an 8-7 ball game that was a thriller all the way. By virtue of their win, the Basin Post No. 64 lads have taken the lead in the 2-team league. Only the Roosevelt and Fort Duchesne posts have entered a team in Legion play. The second game scheduled for yesterday, June 25, was rained rain-ed out and will be rescheduled. A special feature is tentative- ly planned for next Saturday. June 28, when the two local teams anticipate a visit from the Sugarhouse and Bennion posts of Salt Lake City, in a double-header. Place qf the game and time was not definite, according to Dick Owen, district athletic chairman' for . the L&: gion. v. Recently, Utah Legion officials off-icials revamped the state and set up new terms by which the various var-ious districts will be knovn. What was formerly known as District 9 is now known as Division 7 of Area C. Area C constitutes four former districts. According to Mr. Owen, when the present schedule in the four divisions, 7, 8, 9 and 10, is completed, the top team in eacn division will meet in a round-robin round-robin play-off at Helper, where a region winner will be determined deter-mined to enter the state finals.
