Show Provo Educator Gets Altamont Principal Post Rondo Harmon, Provo elementary ele-mentary school teacher, has been appointed principal of the Altamont High and Elementary schools. He will succeed the late Dr. Philo T. Farnsworth, who died shortly before the end of the school term. Announcement of the appointment appoint-ment of Mr. Harmon was made today by Rowan Stutz, newly appointed superintendent of the Duchesne School District. The Altamont school has twenty teachers and approximately approxi-mately 460 students. At the present time a new addition is being constructed to the building, build-ing, a portion of which might possibly be ready for use this school term. The new principal has been teaching at Grandview School, and has been given his official release- by the Provo City school board. He has been with the Provo schools since 1949. He received his bachelor of Arts' and Master of Arts degrees de-grees from Brigham Young University. |
