Hi-Jrfy Wedding Bites Held h MmH LIS Temple A mid-July wedding in the Manti LDS Temple united in marriage Miss LuDeen Anderson, Ander-son, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gareth E. Anderson of Myton and Ray L. Alvey, son of Mr' and Mrs. S. James Alvey of Escalente, Utah. Rites were performed per-formed Wednesday, July 14 by President Lewis Anderson.' Following the ceremony the newlyweds were honored at a party in the Manti Park, with approximately twenty-five members mem-bers of the bridal party in attendance. at-tendance. A honeymoon trip through scenic Utah was taken by the bride and groom. For her going away ensemble the bride chose a dark grey striped suit of or-lon, or-lon, with red and black accessories. acces-sories. Upon their return they were complimented at a wedding reception re-ception and dance at the American Amer-ican Legion Hall in Myton on Monday, Aug. 9. The bride greeted guests in her floor-length wedding gown of white nylon net over taffeta, fashioned with a tiered skirt, each tier being edged with nylon ny-lon lace. The bolero jacket was of matching taffeta with long pointed sleeves and mandarin collar of nylon lace. Her fingertip finger-tip veil of nylon tulle, edged with nylon lase, cascaded from a silver beaded tiara. Her corsage cor-sage was of pink roses surrounded surround-ed by white carnations. Mrs. Holt Wardle was the matron of honor and ' wore a ballerina length gown of irr'i-descent irr'i-descent taffeta, and Miss Beverly Bever-ly Anderson, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, attired in a pink nylon ballerina formal. Only bridesmaid was Miss Re-Nae Re-Nae Alvey, niece of the groom. Her dress was of red nylon. All three attendants had white carnation car-nation corsages tied with silver streamers. Little Jeanie and Linda Ross were the flower girls and were dressed alike in fluffy white dresses with pink floral design. Assuming best man duties was Rlynn Anderson, brother of the bride, and ushers were Franklin Peterson and David Crapo. Mother of the bride wore a biege linen afternoon dress and red rose corsage, while the groom's mother selected a pink and blue flowered nylon dress. Her corsage was of pink roses. The reception program consisted con-sisted of the original story of romance of the bride and groom, combined with songs by the following: ReNae Alvey, Beverly Bever-ly Anderson, LeRoy Anderson and Grant Peel. Mistress of ceremonies cere-monies was Mrs. Aften Richens. Dance music was furnished by Tal Wardle's orchestra. Centering the reception table was a beautiful three-tiered white wedidng cake, trimmed with pink flowers and topped with a miniature white temple. Standing on the steps leading to the temple were a miniature bride and groom. The cake, which was centered on a plate glass mirror, was made by Mrs. Orvil Jackson, of Provo. In charge of serving were Mrs. Wilmer Murray, Mrs. Owen Ow-en Burgess, Mrs. Smith Johnson John-son and Mrs. Claud Braswell. Signing of the gues,t book was supervised by Mrs. Loyal Perry OI iviyiuii, aiiu uuctmig su-i room arrangements were Mrs. Loren Ross, Mrs. Hazel Peterson and Miss Arva Tanner of Myton. My-ton. Out of town guests in attendance atten-dance included Mr. and Mrs. William Mitchell, of Escalente, Utah and- Mrs. Orvil Jackson and daughter, of Provo'. The newlyweds are making their home in Escalante. |
