Show Teaching Position Open Vith Bureau Of Indian Affairs An examination for elementary elemen-tary teacher in the Bureau of Indian Affairs was announced today by the U. S. Civil Service Ser-vice commission. The positions to be filled pay $3,100 a year, and are located in Indian schools in the Territory of Alaska and in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Montana, Oregon, Idaho, California, Cal-ifornia, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Wyoming, Colorado, North Carolina, Florida, and Utah. Applicants for this examination examin-ation will not be required to take a written test. To qualify, they must show successful completion com-pletion of a full 4-year course leading to a degree from an accredited ac-credited college or university, including or supplemented by 24 semester hours in education of which 12 semester hours must be in elementary education. educa-tion. Applicants whose courses do not include 2 semester hours in methods of teaching elementary grades or 2 semester hours in practice teaching of elemental y grades must also have had one year of teaching experience at the elementary level. - Appications will be accepted from students who expect to complete the required courses within 90 days alter filing their applications.
