Show Lions Sponsor Resources Program Nov. 29 The significance of minerals and agriculture from Duchesne County to the progress of Utah during our war economy, will be stressed in an illustrated lecture lec-ture by Dr. EIRoy Nelson, to be given at a dinner meeting sponsored spon-sored by the Roosevelt Lions Club at the Frontier Grill, Thursday, Nov. 29, at 7:20 p. m. Dr. Nelson, director of research re-search for the Natural Resources Committee of the Utah Association Associa-tion of Chamber of Commerce executives, will head a group of businessmen committee members, mem-bers, who will attend the meeting. meet-ing. According . to Howard Ivory, Lions Club president, the Ki-wanis Ki-wanis Club and other civic organizations or-ganizations have been invited to attend. Mr. Ivory said the meeting meet-ing will be highlighted by a motion mo-tion picture and colored slide lecture especially prepared this year to emphasize the importance impor-tance of individual communitit-s in contributing to the progress of the state and the development of its natural resources. Dr. Nelson's Nel-son's talk is keynoted by the presentation of the Encyclopedia Britannica motion picture "Productivity "Pro-ductivity Key to' Plenty." The program is presented by the Associated Chambers of Commerce, the Salt Lake City Chamber of Commerce, and the University of Utah Bureau of Business and Economic Reserch, of which Dr. Nelson is director. |
