Show F.H.A. Completes Subscription Drive Saturday The Future Homemakers. milder mi-lder the direction of Mrs. Eliza Olsen, instructor, wound up their campaign for subscriptions to the Uintah Basin Record and Roosevelt Standard on Satur-j day. The results were not tabulated tabu-lated at last reports, but a commendable com-mendable number of subscriptions subscrip-tions were turned in,, according to Mrs. Olsen. The F.H.A. will receive a commission for its work, to be used for needed equipment for the department. The gathering of clothing for Korean children is another project pro-ject being sponsored by the F.H.A. This call is meeting a generous response and Mrs. Olsen Ol-sen and the Eirls have some good, warm clothing ready for shipment. Veretta Gomm is chairman of the drive. Perry and Carl Young returned return-ed this week from Alaska, where they have had employment for I several months. The boys made the journey north in their car, with a trailer, living in the latter lat-ter during their stay. A faster trip home was desired at this time of year, so they disposed of the trailer. Perry and Carl are sons of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle L. Young. The high school basketball boys gave a dance Saturday night in the gym for the purpose of raising funds for their preseason pre-season tour. The school orchestra furnished the music. Coach Robert Rob-ert Lunt assisted the boys with the arrangements. |
