Show To Take Exams Max Todd, Glen Eldredge ard Darrell McMullin have received word to take their physical examinations ex-aminations at Duchesne August Aug-ust 21. The baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cook was blessed at Fast Day meeting Sunday and given the name Elaine. I Quite a number from Bal-! Bal-! lard attended the wedding dance for Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Haslem at Bennett Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Mont S. Poulson and family, of Duchesne, wer.2 j recent visitors with their daughter daugh-ter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Karl Shisler, at the Tom Shisler Shis-ler home. Mr. and Mrs. Ferris Winn and two daughters, of Phoenix. Arizona, Ari-zona, have been visiting at the home of Ferris' mother, Mrs. Ef-fie Ef-fie Winn, and other, relatives. They also attended the Baptist Encampment in Uinta Canyon. Mrs. Evelyn Brighton, Setli Asay and Russel Todd were the speakers in Sacrament meeting on Sunday, July 27. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Long and baby visited at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Gardner, before Mr. Long left for Korea. Mr. and Mrs. Alden White went to Roy last week to visit their daughter and - son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Crouch, and to get acquainted with their new grandson. Mrs. Crouch is the former Phyllis White. Miss Garvene Garbe and Miss Virginia Miera, of Salt Lake City, were weekend visitors with Myrtle Collins at the home of her parents, Bishop and Mrs. Golden Collins. Mrs. Erna Stolla left Monday for Salt Lake City, from there she planned to go by train to New York City to meet her husband, hus-band, Eric Stolla, who is returning re-turning from a work assignment in Turkey. Mrs. Seth Asay, who was op erated on in Salt Lake City about a month ago, was brought home Saturday. She is much improved in health. Stanley Womack, who has been in the armed forces and stationed in Japan and Korea for some time, has received his honorable discharge. He and his wife, who has been living in Salt Lake City, are at the home of Stanley's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Womack. Mr. and Mrs. Mel Clemets and family, of Rigby, Idaho, ars visiting at the home of Mrs. Clemet's sister, Mrs. Jesse Hul-linger. Hul-linger. Elton Kettle went to the oil well near Strawberry Lake on Saturday to do some electrical work. Ercil Johnson was released recently as president of the genealogy gen-ealogy organization, with Setn Asay and Farrell Rasmussen' as counselors. Seth Asay was sustained sus-tained as president. Mrs. E. C. Coston went to Uinta Canyon one day last week to attend the Baptist Encampment. Encamp-ment. She spent one day ai Whiterocks baking bread and rolls for the group. Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Denver have moved into their home in Alterra which they bought from the Ortscheids. Mrs. Jessie Pickup, from Randlett, Mrs. Wm. Young, and James Coston, from Maeser, were called to the bedside ox their father, E. C. Coston, on Friday evening. Russel Todd went to the church cabin in Uinta Canyon Saturday afternoon to help supervise su-pervise work being done in and near the cabin. Mrs. Todd with other stake members went up Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Alden White has received word that their daughter, Mrs. Bernell Buchanan, Buchan-an, who resides in Washington, had been very ill, but is much improved. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Jensen, of Salt Lake City, were weekend visitors at the home of Mrs. Jensen's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Seth Asay.
