Show Days, Places To Register For Coming Elections' The first date on which prospective pros-pective voters in the coming Primary and General elections may register came and passed last Tuesday. However, six mors days are listed in Utah when this American privilege may be adhered to, thus making it possible pos-sible to cast a ballot during the presidential election year. August 16 and 19 are the only dates remaining before the September 9 primary election. Four days, October 7, 14, 28 and 29, are those coming before the November 4 election. Residents who cast a bal'ot in the 1948 general election or the 1950 municipal, elections will not need to register as voters vot-ers this year, providing they still reside in the same precinct in the same precinct and district. Their names are taken from the register and poll books and copied in the lists of qualified voters which is furnished to the precinct registration agents by the county clerk. Following are the registration places approved in Duchesne County and also in that part of Uintah County situated in the Roosevelt area: Altonah, Marion C. Reese; Arcadia, Myrle Ross; Bluebell, Rozella Goodrich; Boneta, Jennie Jen-nie J. Brotherson; Bridgeland, Zeda Brady; Duchesne No. 1, Gracia Olsen; Duchesne No. 2, Myrtle Wilcken; Fruitland. Regular hours are between 3 a. m. and 9 p. m. Anyone who cannot be in the county on the days set aside for registration may register with the county clerk at the court house in Duchesne or Vernal at any time by signing1 an affidavit affi-davit to the effect that they art-unable art-unable to register at the designated desig-nated times. |
