Show Stella Underwood Attend Baptist Canyon School Mr. and Mrs. Ferris Winn aad children, of Phoenix, Arizona, visited Sunday at the Gusher Baptist Mission. Mr. Winn is studying at the Grand Canyon College to become a minister. - The Ferris Winn family and Mrs. Ely attended the Baptist Encampment in Uinta Canyon last week. Miss Elinor Hackford and a girl friend from Salt Lake spent July 24 visiting here with Elinor's Eli-nor's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Petj Hackford. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Markey and children spent July 24 fishing in Uinta Canyon. Mrs. Helen Macfarland, of Salt Lake, spent the past week visiting in Gusher and Roosevelt. Mrs. Ely, of Phoenix. Ariz., was a guest speaker at the Gusher Gush-er Baptist Mission Thursday night at Bible study class. Mrs. Beverly Ross and daughter, daugh-ter, Kathie, accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Lee Winward, of Roosevelt, Roos-evelt, to Idaho Falls over the weekend to visit relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Art Underwood and son, Allan, of Los Angelas, California, spent last week vio-, iting Mr. Underwood's parent.-;, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Underwood, and his sister's family. Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Domgaard. While here they spent three days fishing fish-ing at Paradise. Pete Hackford was called to Murray Monday by the death of his sister, Mrs. Bessie Watts, who had died during the night. Mrs. Carl Ross had a very pleasant trip "to Idaho Falls recently re-cently and on to Yellowstone National Park. She and her daughter, Kathie, accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Lee Winward, of Roosevelt, on the vacation trip. Oscar Simmons has gone to Phoenix, Arizona on business. He left Sunday morning. Mrs. Tom Bullock and small son, of Springville, spent the week here visiting her grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs., Albert Semken. Freddie Roberts, who has been spending the summer months visiting relatives here and in Roosevelt, returned to his home in Provo on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Tolboe, of Myton, and Mrs. Emma Lou Wardle, of Vernal, visited at the A. Semken home on Sunday. SHOWER HONORS BRIDE A miscellaneous shower was given at the ward hall Monday evening for Mrs. Neldon Du-vall. Du-vall. A large crowd was in attendance at-tendance and many lovely and useful gifts were received by the bride. |
