Show Heporfs Heard At Sccut Meeting; To Observe Week Twenty scouters directing the activities of the Roosevelt District, met last Monday, Jan. 17, with James E. Bacon, district chairman, conducting the monthly district meeting. Reports were heard from Floyd Labrum of the Organization and Extension committee; Don Nielson, chairman of the Camping and Activities Ac-tivities committee; Joseph E. Ol-pin, Ol-pin, Finance chairman; and Sharon Cummings, Advancement chairman. chair-man. Plans for Boy Scout Week, Feb. 6-12, announcement of the advancement ad-vancement contest now underway, appointment of institutional representatives rep-resentatives to operating committees, commit-tees, and a report on the conditions condi-tions existing for units re-registering highlighted the agenda. Introductions were made for Lowell Coleman, new district vice-chairman; vice-chairman; Owen F. Burgener, new member-at-large, representing the stake high council, and Keith Mortensen, new neighborhood commissioner. Highlight of the evening was the key ceremony. A key had previously pre-viously been sent to all who should attend the meeting, with only one key fitting the box present pres-ent at the meeting containing important im-portant information. The result was that Sharon Cummings, advancement ad-vancement chairman, held the right key. Members of the district committee com-mittee present included: Leo Hau-eter, Hau-eter, Keith Mortensen, Floyd W. Labrum, Russell H. Robison, Orin Swain, Samuel R. Hemingway, Reginald O. Curry, Evan A. Per-cival, Per-cival, Joseph E. Olpin, Stan Hall, Lynn Dye, Clifford Olsen, Lowell Coleman, Harry Dean, Don Nielson, Niel-son, Owen F. Burgener, Sharon L. Cummings, Merlin .L. Killpack, James E. Bacon and Rulon Dean Skinner. The. next meeting was set for Feb. 17 at the Roosevelt stake house. |
