Show Onion High Again Hates Accredited Status Union High School is again accredited ac-credited by the Northwest Association Asso-ciation of Secondary and Higher Schools which means: that high standards are maintained in the location and construction of the building, the heating, ventilation, and facilities within the school; that the library and laboratory facilities are up to date and adequate ade-quate for the enrollment of the school; that adequate records are kept and maintained; that standards stan-dards for graduation are high and acceptable. The school to maintain its accreditation ac-creditation must show evidence of co-operation and .efficiency (Continued on Dage 2) Union High .... (Continued from Page 1) within the staff, the student body, the school board, and the patrons of the school. The preparation of teachers and administrators must conform to standards established by the Association. The teacher's load must not be too great as. to impair the efficiency of the teacher's teach-er's performance. A proper student load of classes class-es and assignments must be required re-quired and the athletic and student stu-dent activities must be in harmony har-mony with the State Activities Association in order to maintain membership in the Association of Secondary and Higher Schools. Credits earned in an accredited institution are accepted anywhere in other accredited high schools and colleges in the United States. |
