Show Two fleosevefo Theatres Sold To Aivciiuoiit Finn Announcement was made this morning by George and Howard Harrison, operators of the Uinta and Roosevelt Theatres since 1928, that they had sold the business to Mr. and Mrs. Leland Stevenson Steven-son of Altamont. According to Howard Harrison, who has been managing the Roosevelt theatre partnership since his father and mother moved to Salt Lake City about three years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Stevenson, Steven-son, who own considerable business busi-ness holdings at Altamont, among which is the Altamont Theatre, assumed management and operation oper-ation of the theatres Wednesday, Jan." 19. The sale included buildings build-ings and all furnishings, fixtures and equipment of the two theatres thea-tres The Harrisons started their first theatre in 1928 when the Utopia was opened, which was located where the Uinta is now operating. They later built a new building on that site, and added the Roosevelt Roose-velt Theatre building, Howard reported he and his family will remain ( in Roosevelt, but was not prepared to Say what they would do. The Stevensons were not available for comment today. A more detailed announcement announce-ment will be secured for next week's paper. |
