Show Six Days Remain To Sign For national Jamboree Six days remain before the Nov. 1 deadline for registering for the 1957 National Jamboree of the Boy Scouts of America, reports Rulon Dean Skinner, Field Scout Executive. Some 33 scouts and explorers nine from Duchesne District, 15 from Roosevelt District, and nine from Uintah District are registered for the event to take place July 12 .and 18 at Valley Forge, Penn. Any other scout or explorer in- terested in attending the 50,000 boys and leader Jamboree are urged to send their names, unit number and a $25 registration fee immediately to: Utah National Parks Council, Boy Scouts of America P. O. Box 106 Provo, Utah. Cost of the 22 week trip has tentatively been set for from $300 to $350. This will include all necessary nec-essary expenses except uniforms and bed roll. Pace, Dee Peterson, John David Andrews, Robert Duke, Newell Richens and Carl White. i From Duchesne district are Orin BarkeT, Barry Jordan Ronald Hackett, Larry Wilcken, Larry Defa, Jerry Ray Moon, Leon Moon, Robert Tanner and Fred Evans. Listed from Uintah district are Joseph Rust, Harold Rust, Budge Wallis, Wiley Pope, Brent Hacking, Hack-ing, Lynn McKee, Douglas Lee, Dean Goodrich and Kirk Jolley. A sightseeing trip has been planned by the Council for' those boys who go to the Jamboree. Included will be visits to Denver, Chicago, Detroit, Palmyra, New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington, Wash-ington, D. C. There is a possibility that a trip to Boston can also be arranged,, concluded Mr. Skinner. |
