Show Schools Undergo Enrollment Shift A shift in school enrollment that has resulted in fewer upper grade students against a sharp early elementary gain was reported this week by Rowan C. Stutz, Duchesne County district school superintendent. To illustrate, he said there are 34 more students in first grade this year than there were in kindergarten at the close of the 1955-56 term. On the other side, there are 21 fewer students in the 11th grades this year than there were in the 10th grades at the close of the preceeding term. Total school enrollment remains about consistent, September showing show-ing 2,290 students to 2,293 in May. |
