Show WIIITEFIOCKS Madeena Smith NEW OFFICERS New oficers of the the Ward MIA are Lee Wardle, superintendent, superintend-ent, with assistants being Elbert Smith and Stanley Hoops, Young Men; Mrs. Lynn Hardy, president, Ernal' Simmons and Mrs. Delma Long, assistants, of the Young Women. New Primary president is Edith Oberhansley, with Joyce Bolton and Madeena Smith, counselors, and Murle Mooseman, secretary. Mrs. Velda AndeTton, teacher of the Co-Pilot class in Primary, gave the class a party Tuesday in honor of her son, Danny's, 7th birthday. Mrs. Lynn Hardy gave the literature lit-erature lesson in Relief Society meeting Tuesday. Roy Adams, former resident and Principal at Whiterocks Indian School, was in Whiterocks Thursday Thurs-day visiting old friends and the school. Mrs. Loa Hoops attended the birthday party for Mrs. Barbara Nyberg Thursday in Lapoint at the Jerry Harrison home. Mrs. Ny-' berg observed her 84th birthday anniversary. Nellie Merkley, returned Thursday Thurs-day from Salt Lake City where she had visited her son, Golden, for a week. Mrs. Golden Merkley came home with her and visited the Elbert Smith family over the weekend. The Gale Rasmussens, the Ronald Robb and the Theron Robb fam- ilies all of Salt Lake City are here for the deer season and to visit home folks. Those visiting the Elbert Smiths Friday were Mrs. Vonda Bigelow of Lapoint, Emaline Houston, Esther Merkley and Wanda Morrill, Mor-rill, of Tridell, Roberta Crozier of Neola and Ednal Simmons. Norwood Hardy was on duty as a fire guard in Uintah Canyon and surrounding mountains Saturday. Satur-day. Mrs. Eva Trujillo and a friend from Vernal visited the Indian Relief Society in Whiterocks Wednesday Wed-nesday and helped with a quilt that was being made for Larena Noble. |
