Show ATTEND COOKING CLASS Mrs. Letta Meyers attended the cooking class for the Relief Society So-ciety Home Management at Duchesne Du-chesne Thursday under the direction direc-tion of Miss Una Wood, representative repre-sentative from the American Institute In-stitute of Baking in Chicago. LaRene Meyer of Roosevelt spent the weekend with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Meyer. NOW IN THE ARMY Robert Murphy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Murphy, left the first of the week for Ft. Ord. Calif, to serve in the Army. Robert returned re-turned home this spring from a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Robert hopes to be able to visit his brother, Gerald, when he arrives in California. Gerald is serving at the present in the California mission. Mrs. Alice Warren of Vernal visited Sunday with her sisters, Mrs. Edith Brady and Mrs. Ida Peterson of Murray who is here from Murray. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Fitzgerald and family and James Giles attended at-tended a testimonial for James Martin at Myton Sunday evening. James will enter the mission home Oct. 24. He is a nephew of Mrs. Fitzgerald and a grandson of Mr. Giles. Mr. and Mrs. Danny Beeler of Salt Lake City visited here with the latters parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Fitzgerald, on the return trip from their Deer hunting trip. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Walters and baby of Salt Lake City spent the weekend here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Walters. Bishop and Mrs. Carl Van Tassell Tas-sell and Boyd, Mrs. Lois Stans-field Stans-field and Donna and Ralph, Mrs. Chrsitina Fitzgerald, Kay, Betty and Coleen, Kay Van Tassell, Far-rell Far-rell Barker, Karren Liddell attended attend-ed the 4-H award program at Duchesne Wednesday night. Mrs. Fitzgerald and Mrs. Stansfield received re-ceived leadership awards. All 4-H members received various awards. Bishop and Mrs. Van Tassell and Boyd attended award evening at Roosevelt Thursday where Boyd received an award in dairying. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Peterson of American Fork are guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Shephard. Ronald and Rulon Liddell came in from Provo this weekend. Ronald Ron-ald was eager to greet his new baby daughter, who was born born Thursday. |
