Show Vet Hospital To Be Dedicated On September 14 The new $8 million Veterans Administration Hospital at Fort Douglas Station, Salt Lake City, will be dedicated Sunday afternoon, after-noon, Sept. 14. Dedication ceremonies cere-monies will get underway at 2 p. m. following a 30 minute concert by the Hill Air Force band. The public is invited. Carl R. Gray, Jr., Administrator Administra-tor of Veterans Affairs, will deliver de-liver the dedication address, and Vice Admiral Joel T. Boone, VA's Chief Medical Director, will talk oh VA medicine. "Open house" for the public will be held from 2:30 until 5:30 p. m., Sunday, with guided tours through the hospital. Souvenir Sou-venir programs containing pictures pic-tures of the hospital's interior will be distributed tothose attending. at-tending. Dr. A. H. Fechner, manager of the new hospital, urges all interested in medical care for the veteran to attend the dedication ceremonies and tour the hospital. The 546 bed hospital, designed de-signed in a new plan, took more than two years to construct. It is the 38th of VA's 66-hospitil post-war construction program to be dedicated. |
