Show "ffliss Duchesne" And Attendants Feted At Luncheon "Miss ; Duchesne County," Joyce Jordan, and her two attendants, at-tendants, Elaine Buckalew and Carolyn Whiting, were honor guests at a luncheon held in the banquet rooms- of the Duchesne I Chapel, Saturday afternoon, fol-j fol-j lowing the parade. Other special guests of honor were the girls' j mothers, Mrs. R. S. Jordan. Mrs ' Eldridge Buckalew, and Mrs. Harold C. Whiting. - Also seated at the honor table were Mrs. J. V. McLea and Mrs. C. N. Memmott, co-chairmen for the "Miss Duchesne County" Coun-ty" contest, and Mrs. Howard Harrison, who was responsible for selection of the judges for the contest. Mrs. McLea introduced intro-duced the honor guests. Lady workers for the fair board were introduced by Mrs. Bessie Kohl, president of the Duchesne Bridge Club, the sponsoring organization of the luncheon. These ladies were, Mrs. Goldie Wilcken. Mrs. Thel-ma Thel-ma D Nye, Mrs. Maxine Bur-dick, Bur-dick, Mrs. Sylvia Abbott, Mrs.1 Agnes Jacoby and Rosanna Ellis. Josephine Beebe, club member mem-ber in charge of the program, announced the program numbers num-bers presented by Lynn Barker, j Diane McDonald, NaDean All-red All-red and Luane McDonald. Bridge club members were : introduced by Mrs. Kohl, out- j lining each members part in preparation of the luncheon. ! j Gifts for "Miss Duchesne Coun-j ty" and her attendants were I presented by Miss Laura Cle-1 mons. In closing the luncheon, Mrs. ; Kohl remarked that she hoped , this small organization, the Duchesne Du-chesne Bridge club, working in ! cooperation with the Duchesne , i County Fair Board, had set a precedent, and that in the fu- ture, the guest list at the luncheon lunch-eon honoring "Miss Duchesne County" would be enlarged. Mrs. Kohl wa? a very gracious gra-cious hostess to the contest winners win-ners and their mothers during the celebration. |
