Show Holiday On foe Opens Fair Tomorrow Flight With a brand new edition the always popular ice skating show, Holiday on Ice, will again be the entertainment feature of the Utah State Fair. There wil-be wil-be performances nightly at 8:30 smarting Friday, Sept.' 12, although al-though the Fair proper will not start until Saturday, Sept 13, and continuing through Sunday, Sun-day, September 21, which is thj closing night of the fair. Matinee Ma-tinee performances of Holiday on Ice will be given each Saturday Satur-day and Sunday during the period, per-iod, and also on Wednesday, Sept. 17, at 2:30 p. m Producers of the show promise prom-ise a greater spectacle, than eve-before eve-before in this all new 1953 version, ver-sion, including more than 1200 brand new costumes, 125 too-flight too-flight skating stars, 28 new acts designed to please all age groups, ten comedians an-l clowns and many novelties imported im-ported from Europe and South America. . Old favorites include Phil Hi-ser Hi-ser and Mae Freisinger in their ever popular old fashioned waltz routines; Paul Andre, the little sailor comedian, Jinx C lark, and Rudy Richards; lovely Joan Hyldoft and Michael Meehan: Flij and Flop; and the glamour-icer glamour-icer chorus of 24 lovely girls, and of course Leo Freisingerg, speed king, and his ten-year-old daughter, Joan. Among the new stars are Jackie Grant, Betty Manners. Pat MacAdams and The Stuarts, Stu-arts, sensational acrobatic artists. |
