Show Veteran Writer Lauds New '52 Ambassador Nash "Finest shock-proof ride in the world today" and perform ance "among the very best." That's the way Tom McCahill, veteran writer and test driver, described the 1952 Ambassa dor in' the September issue of Mechanix Illustrated, according to Clyde Murray, manager of Murray Motor Co. Murray Motor Co. is partici pating in a nation-wide Nash promotional program based on this report of road tests on the Nash Ambassador. "Mr. McCahill's laudatory article ar-ticle on the 1952 Ambassador is a tribute to Nash Motors, its engineering staff, and the world renowned European custom body designer, Pinin Farina," Mr. Murray said. McCahill tested the Ambassador Ambas-sador over the "roughest, gouged-out testing road" in the East. At "varied speeds up to 60" the . veteran test driver hit bumps "and even large rocks that would have broken your back and ripped away the front axel assembly of any car " However, How-ever, "the Ambassador remained silent and absolutely unruffled by these blows," Mr. Murray said, quoting the article. McCahill concluded that the Naih Ambassadors are "arnonj the best performing cars made in America and in hill-climbing they take a back seat to none.'' Copies of the reprint are available at the dealership's showrooms at 260 South Main, Clyde Murray said. |
