Show Fathers Honored . A Father's Day program was presented Sunday under the direction di-rection of the Relief Society. The following parts were presented: pre-sented: solo, by Dennis Liddell, reading, by Betty Fitzgerald; trumpet solo, Reed Clayburn; reading, Maxine Murphy; duet, Kay and Valoy Wright, accompanied accom-panied by NaDene Wrig'ht. A tribute to Fathers was given by Bishop Carl Van Tassell. WINS GAME The Bridgeland ball team played with Duchesne, at Duchesne, Du-chesne, Thursday evening. The score was 22 to' 7 in favor of Bridgeland. Wilma Meyer, who is employed em-ployed in Salt Lake, spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Meyer. NaDene Wright, of Utahn, spent the weekend with her cousins, cou-sins, Kay and Valoy Wright. Vickie Lee and Sandra Dennis, Den-nis, of Salt Lake City, are spending the summer months with their aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Clayburn. Mrs. Clista Neilsen and Mrs. Jayleen Clayburn visited Sat urday at Vernal. They brought the little girls of Mrs. Neilsen's home after they spent last week with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Norton. Mr. and Mrs. Arden Petersen, of Murray; Mrs. Edith Brady and Mrs. Ronald Lisonbee visited vis-ited Saturday in Vernal with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Warren. Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Mayhew, of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Jay Horrocks, of California, visited vis-ited Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Clayburn Clay-burn Sunday. Mrs. Sylvia Coleman and children and Mrs. Bill Coleman called on Mrs. Chastie Neilsen on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Elden Brady attended a Brady family reunion reun-ion at Provo, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Lisonbee and baby visited Sunday at Bluebell with their mother, Mrs. Mary R. Lisonbee. WELCOMES NEW CLASS A party to welcome the new Gleaner Girls into the Gleaner class was held Tuesday, when eighteen girls and boys from the Gleaner class and M Men gathered at the Elden Liddell home for the first course of a progressive party. From the Liddell home, where a soft drink was served, the group went to the Frank Meyer home, where they were served barbe-qued barbe-qued hamburgers, then to' the Vere Neilsen home for ice cream. A very enjoyable time was reported by the young folks. Mr. and Mrs. James Giles, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Martin and children, of Myton, were Sunday Sun-day visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Fitzgerald. Mr. and Mrs. Alma Smith and- grandsons, Stephen and Walter Smith, joined Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Young and children, chil-dren, of Altamont, for an outing at Moon Lake, Sunday. Janice and Becky Williams, of Bluebell, spent several days visiting their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Mirl Jennings, Sr. Their mother, Mrs. Mavis Williams, Wil-liams, came after them Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Sherwood Lisonbee Lis-onbee and baby, Kim, of Roosevelt, Roose-velt, spent Sunday evening with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Lisonbee. |
