On last week's front page of this newspaper Mr. Jacoby was quoted as making the following statement, which was taken from the minutes of the commissioners' meeting referred to: (Quote) "As a citizen and taxpayer, I would like to ask the commissioners not to spend tax money for rental of office space in Roosevelt when housing is available for these agencies (county agricultural and home demonstration , agents) in the new courthouse building.'' ' Mr. Jacoby advised your editor Monday of this week that the following statment is the way the minutes of the meeting should read: (Quote) "As a public citizen I protest pro-test the appropriation of public money, after spending $175,000 for county offices, and then spending $100 a month for rent at Roosevelt for county agents' offices."
