Jane Stinnett left for her home in Joplin, Missouri, after spending a week visiting with Carol Lynn Cook and other friends in Roosevelt. Houseguests several days this week at' the home of Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Cook were Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Saul, of Los Angeles. An-geles. The two couples spent Monday in Uinta Canyon. Mrs. Lyle Robison, nee Lee-Rae Lee-Rae Drollinger, arrived last Thursday after she and her husband hus-band had enjoyed a honeymoon trip to northern and southern California. She will remain with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Drollinger, while Cpl. Robison takes training in the Marine Reserves in Quantico, Virginia. In September the newlyweds will move to Logan, where Cpl. Robison will continue studies at the USAC. Mrs. Pearl Swain spent the weekend in Salt Lake City visiting vis-iting with her daughters, Mrs. I Amber Page and Mrs. Iona Earnshaw. She stated that Ron Page is now employed at the bakery in the new Food Center Market at Holiday. Returning Monday from a 3-week 3-week trip to northern and southern California were Mr. and Mrs. Sam Weiss, returning home via Las Vegas, where they spent a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Clayton and son, Bruce, of Kansas City, Missouri, visited for a short time Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Nora Mathews. Mr. Clayton and Mrs. Mathews are cousins and haven't seen each other for more than thirty years. The Claytons were tourning the West enroute to California for a brief vacation. Clem Labrum, Jay Larsen, Val Labrum and Homer Cook made an overnight trip to Rock Creek last Thursday and Friday. Fri-day. Mr. and Mrs. Axel Anderson, Ronald and Barbara, returned home from Salt Lake City last Thursday with Neldon and Bob Nyberg. They had accompanied the body of Mrs. Nyberg to Salt Lake for burial Monday. Guests at the Howard Harrison Harri-son home from Saturday to Wednesday were Mr. and Mrs. George Harrison. While here George celebrated his. birthday. Dick Ruppel accompanied the Harrisons to Roosevelt. John Ruppel spent a day here visiting, visit-ing, returning to Salt Lake City. Martin Tusler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Tusler, of Pasadena, Pasa-dena, is here visiting with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ferron, who returned recently re-cently from California, after visiting there nearly a month. Weekend guests at the An-thon An-thon B. Christensen home last weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Rondo Christensen and son, Craig, who were enroute to New York, where Rondo will attend Cornell University. He is Anthon's brother. Guests at the Christensen home Tuesday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Clark Allred. Mr. All-red All-red is the state field representative represen-tative for the FHA. Mrs. Leland Ottosen is attending at-tending summer school at the University of Utah. Mr. and Mis. Bill Ostler spent last Thursday and Friday in Salt Lake City and Ogden. Returning Re-turning with them were two nephews, Ronald and Allan, who will spend the summer here. Leaving Monday to visit relatives rel-atives in Portland, Oregon, were Mr. and Mrs. Parley Rawlings and family and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Laris. Mr. and Mrs. J. V. McLea were Logan visitors last weekend. Mrs. Homer P. Edwards and Mrs. Jesse Allen left Sunday afternoon to attend leadership week at the BYU in Provo'. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Hall and son, Brent, accompanied by Mrs. Nancy Burton and also Mrs. Leah World, of Price, left last Friday for a vacation trip to Long Beach, Calif, and other points of interest. |
