Show Spaghetti Dinner And Films Featured At P-TA 1 Parents and Teachers of the Roosevelt P-TA enjoyed a spaghetti dinner last Thursday evening at the Junior High School. Tables were attractive with pine cones, boughs and other holiday decorations. decora-tions. Following the dinner the grdup progressed to the assembly hall, where musical entertainment was furnished by Mrs. Jay S. Fitzgerald and Mrs. Ray Summers at the piano and violin, who played and sang Christmas carols. Other numbers included piano duets by Linda Schmiett and Laura Ann Leavitt; a vocal duet by Carol Brown and Gloria Robison, accompanied accom-panied by Diane Winterton. A brief business meeting was conducted by Mrs. Paul G. String-ham, String-ham, 1st vice-president. Those present pre-sent voted to allot money to the Roosevelt Elementary School to help defray the cost of electric clocks recently installed in the class rooms. By-laws of the organization organi-zation were read by Venil Johnson, John-son, by-laws chairman, and were approved. Entertainment for the evening was provided by a safety film, shown by Sgt. Sam Hatch of Vernal Ver-nal and Patrolman Leonard Ferguson Fergu-son of "Roosevelt from the Utah Highway Patrol. Sgt. Hatch 'later led an interesting safety discussion. Arrangments for the dinner were under the direction of the finance co-chairmen, Mr. and Mrs Rex Curry. Acting on the committee were Mrs. Alva C. Snow, Mrs Paul Murphy, Mrs. Wesley R. rSick" erson, Mrs. Marion Bowman Mrs Hollis G. Hullinger, Mrs.' Lee Allred, and Mrs. Donald Lanj hospitality chairman. Assisting with table decorations was Mrs. Rudy Krissman. |
