Show ' Violet Gentry Bertha Angus , IOKA MIA PLAY TO BE PRESENTED TUESDAY The Ioka LDS Mutual Improvement Improve-ment Association will present a three-act play, "They Went That-a-way," at 8 p.m Tuesday. Dec. 18, in the Ioka Chapel. The production, which will be directed by Ariel Michie, assisted by Dorothy Stone, includes the following cast: Velma Dart as Charlotte Pelham, Beatrice Winterton as Lil Bower, Evan Percival as Sheriff Jackson, Claire Winterton as Greddie Buck, John Percival as Joe1, Edna Drol-linger Drol-linger as One Blossom, Joy Killian as Elmira Spring, Howard Jones as Waxy, Clyde Killian as Slug and Gladys Dart as Sue Castle. Dr. Miles Allen of Pleasant Valley Val-ley and Mrs. Edward Kielbasa of Duchesne called on Mrs. O. A. Dart recently. t Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Lemon returned re-turned home last week from a visit with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Max Hart-man Hart-man of Mt. Emmons. Wilford McConkie of Roosevelt called on W. G. Gentry Thursday. Mrs. Harold Anderson, Mrs. Lloyd Crow, Mrs. Gerald Shelton, all of Roosevelt, and Mrs. Marie Durfey of Upalco spent Friday with Mrs. Emil Anderson. ' Mrs. Tom Gentry and daughter Pat, visited at the home of Mrs Bill Patry Friday in Roosevelt. Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Sorenser and children of Roosevelt visitec their mother Mrs. Olive Sorensen Those from here attending the funeral of F. C. Cummings in Upalco Dec. 3 were Jack Spencer, Otto Lloyd, M. J. Benson, Archie Benson, Mrs. Charles Percival, Evan Percival and Mr. and Mrs. James Lloyd. Zelma Lloyd attended the convention con-vention for school cooks last week end. She was elected president of five counties, Carbon, Emery, Uintah and Duchesne. Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Timothy and Mrs. 'Minnie Tromley left Wednesday for a week's vist in St. GeoTge. Otto Lloyd attended ASC State convention in Salt Lake City on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Joel Murphy of Roosevelt was a visitor in Ioka Sunday. . CHURCH -NEWS Ronald Lloyd graduated from Primary Sunday. Speakers for the meeting were High Councilmen Jess Hullinger of Ballard, LaRae Bywater, Elaine Chandler and Harold Crapo, all of Myton. |
