Show INFANT DURFEE LEOTA Funeral services were conducted Wednesday in the Avalon ward chapel at 10 a.m. by Bishop Ralph Durfee, for the infant son of Coy Lee and Jeanne Freston Durfee, who died Sunday at 6 a.m. in the Vernal Hospital several hours after birth. The baby was born July 24, 1954, in Vernal, and is survived sur-vived by its parents, of Leota; four grandparents, Mr. and Mrs Vernal Freston, Roosevelt; Mr. 'and Mrs. Ralph Durfee, of Randlett; three great-grandparents, Mrs. Mary E. Freston, of Roosevelt; Mr. and Mrs. William Wil-liam Gagon, formerly of Roosevelt. Roose-velt. A . Burial was in the Avalon cemetery under the direction of Olpin Mortuary of Roosevelt. i RACHEL JANE VAN FT. DUCHESNE The Baptist church in Roosevelt was the scene of funeral rites at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 27, for Mrs. Rachel Jane Van, 67, who died Thursday at 9 p.m. in the Roosevelt Roos-evelt LDS Hospital after an illness Rev. Nolan Beaird conducted con-ducted the funeral. . She was born in 1887, in Sanpete County, a daughter of Nephi and Ollie Burson. She was married to James B. Reed at Whiterocks in 1912. He died in 1942 She was married to Phillip Van in 1944. Surviving are her husband, and the following follow-ing sons and daughters: Wilson J Reed, Kansas; Mrs. Anita Reyos and Charles T. Reed, Ft. Duchesne; Glen V. Reed, Bridge-land- Mrs. Lorraine Neilson, Al-tonah; Al-tonah; stepdaughter and stepson, Mrs Lillie Wash, Ft. Duchesne; Bill Reed, Roosevelt; 32 grandchildren, grand-children, four great-grandchildren and a brother, Weldon Burson, Ft. Duchesne. Burial was in the Farm Creek cemetery under the direction of Olpin Mortuary of Roosevelt. |
