Show $3luebel Mrs. Garda Seeley Attend 4-H Camp The following girls attended the 4-H trip up Uinta Canyon: Janet Seeley, Jean Remington, Reta Powell, Jeanne Seeley, June Powell, Pow-ell, Phyllis Powell, LaRee Larsen, Carma Atwood, Carolyn Goodrich, Mrs. Carma Mathews and Mrs. Irene Barrett, Owena Goodrich and Sharon Barrett. The group left early Wednesday morning and returned home on Friday. Mr, and Mrs. Martin Hancock received word that their son, Bud, had been released from the St. Marks Hospital following a serious ser-ious operation. Bud has been sick for some time. We all wish him a speedy recovery. Mr. and Mrs, Lee Lisonbee went to SaH Lake City over the weekend week-end to visit relatives. Their daughter, Mary Lee, returned home with them following a three weeks visit in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Reay are the proud parents of a baby girl born July 24th. This makes three girls for the Reays. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lattumer, of Price, visited on Thursday and Friday with Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Seeley. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Goodrich and family, Mr. .and Mrs. Fred Goodrich and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Goodrich went to Price on Saturday, Satur-day, where they visited with relatives. rel-atives. They all attended the rodeo at Price, and returned home on Sunday. Guests at the Claud Mathews home during the week were Mr. and Mrs. Carl DeVries and family and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Harwood and son, of Ogden, and Mr, and Mrs. Bus Mathews and family, of Bonanza. Mr. and Mrs. Max Allred, of Salt Lake City, spent the weekend week-end here with relatives. A number of our people went to Mt. Emmons on Sunday to attend at-tend Genealogy conference. They had the privilege of hearing Mr. George Fredge of the Genealogy committee from Salt Lake City, j Mr. and Mrs. Carl Powell and three children, of Sandy, spent the weekend here with Carl's parents. par-ents. Mr. and Mrs. James W. Powell. Powell Powell, Monday, July 24th. Word was received in Altonah of the birth of a baby boy, born to Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hyatt, July 27th in the Holy Cross Hospital in Salt Lake City. The Hyatts are former residents of Altonah, Irs. Wm. Ralphs was able to come home from the Roosevelt hospital Saturday, July 22nd. Mrs, Clarence Smith is visiting her sisters in Heber and Salt Lake City during the week. Jack Carroll, who is employed in Salt Lake City, spent the 24th of July weekend with home folks. Earl. Case and Glen Case, of Mt. Emmons, were speakers in Sacrament meeting Sunday, July 24th. Guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Beebe during the 24th weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Carl J. Searle of Ogden, Mr. and Mrs. Art Beebe and son, Mike, of Salem, Sal-em, and Mr. and Mrs. George Payne and daughter, Susan, of Salt Lake City. Mrs. George Murray and new baby came home from the Roosevelt Roose-velt Hospital Monday, July 25th. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Jessen and daughter, Bonnie and Mrs.. Minnie Lou Stevenson and daughter, Marie, left Thursday, July 21st j on a trip to Yellowstone Park. FAMILY GETS TOGETHER Guests at the home of Mrs. El-va El-va Snyder over the 24th of July I weekend were: Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Ger-ald Jacobson, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Potts and daughter of Logan, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Snyder and daughters, daugh-ters, of Sand Point, Idaho; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Snyder and family and a friend, of Omaha, Nebraska; Mr. and Mrs. Keith Snyder and family, of Salt Lake City; Robert Snyder and son, Billy Bil-ly and Albert Snyder, of Spring-ville; Spring-ville; Lloyd Snyder and daughter Jean, of Salt Lake City; and Ted Snyder, of Tooele. They all enjoyed en-joyed an outing at Moon Lake on Sunday. All of Mrs. Snyder's family fam-ily was present except her son, Willard, of China Lake, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Olsen made a trip to Price, Saturday. His brother broth-er Verl, came home with them for a brief visit. Mr. and Mrs. Delos Bird and son, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Bird and son spent the holidays with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lin-ford Lin-ford Maxfield. Cliff Clark, who is employed in Salt Lake City, spent the long 24 of July weekend with his parents, Mr, and Mrs. Wm. E. Clark. Mr. and Mrs. Udell Allred and son, of Rangely, Colo., were overnight over-night guests at the home of Udell's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph All-red, All-red, one night during the weekend. week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Anderson, of Provo, came to Altonah Wednesday, Wednes-day, July 27th to visit Mrs. Anderson's An-derson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chubb Reay. Duke Rochel, of Ogdan, spent the weekend with his brother, Albert, Al-bert, and family. Mr. and Mrs, George Heggie and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Heggie and family, of Raymond, Alberta, Canada, arrived recently to visit Mr. and Mrs. Dean Reay and family. Mrs. Reay is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Heggie and a sister to Bruce. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ralphs and family, of Orem, spent the 24th of July weekend with Mr. Ralphs' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ralph. Mrs. Elva Snyder eccompanied her son, Clarence Snyder and family, fam-ily, of Omaha, Neb. to Salt Lake City Thursday, July 28 to visit relatives. They returned home the same day. Mrs. Lucy Jacobson took care of the post office while Mrs. Snyder was away. Clarence and family left Friday, July 29th for their home. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Reese and family, of Salt Lake City, spent the 24th of July weekend with friends here. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Fisher, of Salt Lake City, spent the long weekend with Mr. Fisher's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. George Fisher, Sr. Their kiddies, Ray and Shauna, went back to Salt Lake City with the to spend a week. HOSTESS AT SHOWER Mrs. Vivie Reay was hostess to a shower for Mrs. Carl Anderson (Marie Hyatt) Thursday evening, July 28th in the Legion hall. Games, refreshments and a program pro-gram were enjoyed by a large group of ladies. Many from out of town were present. The new Mrs. Anderson received many useful use-ful and beautiful gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Olsen, Johnny Smith and LeRoy Burson spent the weekend Of July 29th visiting relatives in Price. Guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Shiner were Mr. and Mrs. Randle and family, of Magna, Mag-na, Mr., and Mrs. Lee Wardle, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Turner of Tooele, over the 24th of July weekend. |
