Show LAPOIIIT Mable Jenkins Win Two Games The boys' Junior softball team played Bonanza Friday night. The score was 7 to 0 in favor of La-point. La-point. On Saturday they played Maeser 2nd ward. The score was 17 to 6 in favor of Lapoint. Laird Perry, of Dragerton is spending the summer with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Perry. Mrs, Warren Ross, of Los Angles, An-gles, and daughter visited Mrs. Mae Sprouse and Mr. and Mrs. Golden Winn and family, recently. Mrs. Grace Lambert came from the General Hospital in Salt Lake City and is in the LDS Hospital in Roosevelt. She is improving after an operation. OVERNIGHT OUTING Mrs. Ethel Taylor and Vera Caldwell took their Mia Maids for an overnight outing up to the Rex Gardner home. They were Helen Bigelow, Carol Rasmussen, Taline Neil'son, Irene Taylor, Ardella Barney. DeVon McKee, of Tridell, and Dale Harrison have gone to Moses Lake, Wash., where they have employment. Bishop and Mrs. L. J. Walker and daughters, Dora Dee and Paulette, spent their vacation at Yellowstone Park. Mr. and Mrs. Marlon Snow and family, of Provo, spent the weekend week-end with Mr, and Mrs. Rile Blackburn. Black-burn. Mr. and Mrs. Lyrad Palmer and son, of Tooele, spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Anderson. Dr. and Mrs. Mathew Mansfield and son, of Orem, spent the weekend week-end with Mrs. Mansfield's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Golden Winn and family. Mrs. Thurs Sprouse, of Roosevelt, Roose-velt, spent the week with Mrs. Mae Sprouse and Mr. and Mrs. Golden Wnn and family. Rex Jenkins, of Eagle, Colo., spent the weekend with his parents, par-ents, Mr, and Mrs. Frank Jenkins, Sr.. Malcolm McKinnon, from Salt Lake City,, visited Mr. and Mrs. Loyal Cox during the week. Ramona Harrison came home from Provo, Thursday, where she attended summer school at the BYU. Ramona Harrison and her two girl friends are visiting in New York. Alice Jenkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Jenkins, spent from last Monday night to last Thursday in the Roosevelt LDS Hospital with a case of hives. PITCHERS DUEL, 42-1 The girls' softball team played Glines ward girls softball team at the ball park in Vernal. The score was 42 to 1 in favor of the Lapoint team. NYBERG REUNION The Nyberg reunion was held last Saturday at Whiterocks. Those present were, Mr. and Mrs. George Nyberg and son, Allen, Mr. and Mrs. Mack Nyberg, Mrs. Barbara Nyberg, Mr. and Mrs, Clarence Murray and family, of Whiterocks, and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Hoops and family, of Whiterocks Bench. A delicious lunch was served. The Bee Hive girls and their leaders, Virgie Rasmussen and Or-pha Or-pha Kump, went over on the river and stayed overnight. The Tridell girls went with them. Malcolm McKinnon, from Salt Lake, visited the Loyal Coxes during dur-ing last week. Mrs. Mamie Rasmussen went to Logan to visit her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Law-rence Morrill and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins are grandparents of a grandson, born July 15 to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins, Jr., of Oak Creek, Colo. He is called Allen Ray, The Jenkins Jen-kins have 26 grandchildren. |
