Show Mr. and Mrs. Lazell Henri and Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Butcher and family spent last weekend at Manila Man-ila and Green Lakes. Mr. and Mrs. Phil Pack and sons accompanied 'by Mrs. Pack's brother, bro-ther, Perce Watkins and family of Tremonton, enjoyed the July 24th weekend fishing at Wolf Creek. Brent Watkins remained at the Pack home for a visit. He and Marvin Pack left Tuesday Tues-day for Tremonton, accompanying Mrs, Carl Isaacson and children, who are enroute to Malad. Miss JaNeal Pack met her roommate, room-mate, Carolyn Everett of Spring-ville Spring-ville in Salt Lake City for the July 24th holiday. They were guests of Miss Melba Benson. Melba arrived home last Saturday to spend three or four weeks. Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Porter and family of Walla Walla, Washington, Washing-ton, returned to their home last week after visiting Mrs. Porter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Rowley. SWIMMING PARTY AT DYE'S POOL Seventeen young people from Ned Gines' Sunday School class at Ballard enjoyed a swimming party and picnic lunch at Dye's Swimming Swim-ming pool last Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs.. Ben Turner and family spent last weekend visiting visit-ing in Heber City and Salt Lake. CORRECTION: In listing the winners in the perliminary UBIC baby contest last week, the name of Robyn Labrum, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LaVere Labrum, was omited by mistake in the one-year old group. NEW BATTERY OFFERED Industrial research at an eastern east-ern corporation has developed a storage battery which manufacturers manufac-turers say should have a life expectancy ex-pectancy of 10 to 20 years. The battery uses nickel cadmium cells of a special sintered plate type in place of lead. It will be manufactured manu-factured this year for use in automobiles, motorboats, farm equipment, and in all kinds xf internal combustion engines.
