Show Another Accident At Same Place The third automobile accident during the past month at almost the same spot on Highway 40, occurred Friday about 4 p.m., when Emmett D. Woods, of My-ton, My-ton, driving a pickup truck, attempted at-tempted to cross from the Brum-mett Brum-mett Service Station into Myton and was struck by a car driven by C. S. Smith of Long Beach, Calif. Mrs. Smith, a passenger in her husband's car, suffered shock and lacterations and was taken to the Roosevelt Hospital. Patrolman Lowell E. Bair, of Roosevelt, investigated in-vestigated the accident and issued is-sued a citation to Mr. Woods. Both cars were damaged, however how-ever only Mr. Smith's car was in need of a service car to take it to a garage for repair. MEMBER IS HONORED The Ladies Aid of Presbyterian church entertained Thursday afternoon after-noon at the home of Mrs. W. R. Harris, honoring one of their members, mem-bers, Mrs. Mellie Milher, who expects ex-pects to leave in the near future to make her home at Meeker, Colorado. Col-orado. The afternoon was gay with the many tales of their jolly times together and delicious refreshments re-freshments were served at the close of the afternoon. The following follow-ing members and guests were seated at a long table, beautiful with summer flowers: the honored guest, Mrs. Milner, Mrs. Albert Tanner, Mrs. O. A- Dart, Sr., Mrs. I. R. Turtle, Mrs. L. E.. Potter, Mrs. Lydia Peatross, Mrs. Erma Harris, Mrs. Ted Thomas, Mrs. Lionel Babcock, Mrs. Homer Robinson, Rob-inson, Miss Alice Todd, Mrs. Alice Brummett, Mrs. Carlos Clark, Mrs. W. E. Burton, Mrs. Bliss Lott, Mrs. George Philipps, Mrs. James Dalgleish, Mrs. Wilmer Murray. Mrs. W. R. Harris, Mrs. G. A. Dart, Jr. of Yucipa, Calif, Mrs. John Tucker, of Cambridge, Mass.; Mrs. Belle Forsythe, Mrs. H. H. Blaine and Mrs. Wm. Preece, all of Roosevelt. Many lovely gifts were presented to Mrs. Milner in token of their esteem. DESSERT LUNCHEON Mrs. Homer Robinson entertained entertain-ed at a dessert luncheon, Friday afternoon, at her home. The guests present were Mrs. Floyd Lamb, Mrs. Rex Lamb, Mrs. Wesley- Jensen, Mrs. Bliss Lott, Miss Alice Todd, Mrs. James Dalgleish, Mrs. H. C. Cooper and Mrs. Geo. Moeller. Bridge was enjoyed during dur-ing the afternoon, with prize for high score awarded to Miss Todd. Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Dart, Sr. are enjoying a visit from their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs- O. A. Dart, Jr. and children, who arrived last week from Yu caipa, Calif. Mrs. Emma Tanner is visiting her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Parley Reed, at Tabiona, where she is convalescing from a fractured arm. |
