Dutch Searles was the losing los-ing hurler. Henry Cuch was the winning pitcher as the Randlett Braves kept on the heels of the leaders in downing Altamont on the latter's field, 9 to 4, Glen Mecham lost the game on the mound. The big surprise of the week came when the hapless Roosevelt entry played inspired ball' to clip Bennett 6 to 5 on Saturday at Ft. Duchesne. Don Snyder was listed as the winning pitcher and Gordon Gor-don Eldredge was charged with the loss. To Play At UBIC Bennett and Fort Duchesne will represent the Basin league in an exhibition game as a part of the UBIC program on Friday at 3 p.m. When the game was arranged between be-tween the Utes and Bennett, the latter was. just two games out of first, and holding down second spot. However, their double loss the past two weeks to Roosevelt and the Utes, have dropped them into third behind the Braves. However, How-ever, baseball fans can expect a good ball' game when these two teams cross, bats, and Friday should prove no exception. Other action Saturday finds Avalon Av-alon playing Bennett at Myton, and on Sunday, Fort Duchesne will be host to the Braves, and Roosevelt goest to Altamont. |
