Show mm post ( BASIN POST NO. 64 BY BILL MURDOCK Post 64 meeting Thursday, Sept. 30 held with an exceptional excep-tional turn-out. Matters of importance im-portance were discussed and acted upon. Get Out And Vote committee was appointed with Fran Harrison Harri-son chairman, Ray Scholes and Dale Ashby. After the sad representation rep-resentation at our polls on the primary election, we should all remember to' REGISTER and VOTE. The Roosevelt Commercial Commer-cial Club has agreed to furnish any funds that are needed in this undertaking. We thank them. Dr. R. V. Larson is to give the post members a talk on the Civil Defense program and what will be expected of our post. Dr. Larson is on this Civil Defense De-fense program committee. The American Legion road-signs road-signs at each end of town were put up. Sign committee Bill Sutteer and Fran Harrison surely sure-ly needs to be commended. Shotgun and prizes are to be raffled off in the near future to further the American Legion Youth Program, Teenage Canteen, Can-teen, Oratorical contest. Boys' State, Junior Baseball. Speakers are being arranged for. The banquet has not been set by the Auxiliary Auxil-iary as yet. We are planning a big affair. . . start planning for it. Fall conference set and ready for Vernal, Oct. 10th. Registra- tion will be from 11 to 1 at the Legion Bldg. on Main St. Meeting and banquet and entertainment en-tertainment will take up the afternoon. af-ternoon.
