Show Arcadia Mrs. Elsie Bird MIA Harvest Party Honored All Past Bishops The MIA held their "Harvest Party," Tuesday, the theme of it being "The Ward I Live In.:' The following interesting program pro-gram was presented: Early history, his-tory, by LaMar Ross; talk on the 'post office, by Rulon Gilbert; Gil-bert; school, by Ora Holgate; experiences by the bishops that were present since this ward was organized. S. O. Solmon-son Solmon-son was the first bishop, Thomas Thom-as M. Gilbert. 2nd, wasn't present; pres-ent; Hale Holgate, 3rd; Marion Ross, 4th, wasn't present; and the present bishop, Gam Gilbert. Gil-bert. Charlie Bird gave a list of all the boys - in the service; Lois Terpening gave a list of the ones who served missions; Pauline Larsen gave more history his-tory of the ward. Square dancing was enjoyed and chili served. Mr. and Mrs. S. O. Solmon-son, Solmon-son, of Roosevelt, were overnight over-night guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird. They also attended the MIA party- T Mr. and Mrs. Norman Lab-rum Lab-rum and family were dinner guests, Sunday, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Ross. Thomas M. Gilbert made a trip to Provo, Wednesday. |
