Show Track, Baseball Get Going At Union High Track has taken sway at Union Un-ion High with a class meet scheduled today at 2:00, and from predictions coming from Coaches Glen Allred and Horace Hor-ace Gillispie, a lot of activity should develop from the meet. The class meet will give Coaches Allred and Gillispie an idea of who might best represent repre-sent Union at the Uintah Basin track and field meet on April 17 at Vernal. The meet at Vernal Ver-nal is at 1 p.m. Not all the activity, athletically athletical-ly sneaking, is centered in track, because the Cougars will meet the Utes from Vernal on the latter's field next Wednesday, Wednes-day, April 14, at 2 p.m. in the season's first baseball game. Little is known of the strength of the Cougars, but several members of last year's team are back to give hope for a fair-to-middling team. |
