Show &h school nous BOOK REPORTS Mrs. Johnson's 4th Grade DAVY CROCKET By Frank L. Beals This is a book everyone should read. It's packed full of adventure about the Indians. It tells of Indians fighting with the white men, hunting bear, catching wild horses and Davy's fight with a wild panther. Davy became very ill. He was all alone in the woods. He was miles from anyone and so ill that he lay down to die. This book is at the school library.' I liked this story. by Louis Rawlings, HONK THE MOOSE This book is about two boys, Ivar and Waino, who have a lot of adventures with a moose. The part I liked best was 'where Ivar and Waino walked into the barn. To' their surprise there was a sad moose, eating their father's expensive hay. I liked this book, and if any of the rest of you would like to read it, it's in the Roosevelt Elementary library. by Randy Labrum Some girls in our class room in school are making fanciful puppet shows. Some of the names of the shows are: "Three Little Pigs," and "Little Red Riding Hood." Others are working work-ing on more stories. We made the puppets out of paper mache. They were very nice, and we enjoyed them. by Wilma Whitehead MISS HARRISON'S VISIT Miss Harrison came to tell us about her trip to Mexico. She showed us some pictures of some of the dances and some of the bullfighting. There are doors that the bull-fighters run to and get in when the bull gets really mad.
