Show George D. Clyde To Explain Water Problems Apr. 12 For several weeks an attempt has been made to secure the services of George D. Clyde, director di-rector of the Utah Water and Power Board, to come to the Uintah Basin area to discuss water problems as they will involve in-volve the area, if, and when Echo Park and Central Utah projects become a reality. . According to' Horace Allred, local water authority and member mem-ber of the Twenty-One Counties board, who has arranged for Mr. Clyde's visit here, the date has been set for Monday, April 12. The time will be 8 p.m. and the American Legion Barracks will be the place of the meeting. meet-ing. No definite program has been designed for the meeting, which will be open to the entire .public, .pub-lic, but the time rather will be used to answer questions pertaining per-taining to various and sundry water problems in the Basin. Mr. Clyde comes prepared to- give a clear and accurate analysis anal-ysis of the major projects being, considered for the Upper Colorado Colo-rado River. . This . subject no doubt will draw most of the time of Mr. Clyde, and people generally are urged to come with their questions. Mr. Clyde was one of the witnesses wit-nesses at recent hearing in Washington on the Upper Colorado Colo-rado River, and is reputed to be one of the West's authorities on water matters. |
