Show Play Begins In Basketbalf League For Kids The' Ute Tribe - Kiwanis sponsored spon-sored Kids' Basketball league got underway Wednesday, with 15 teams entered from Roosevelt, Ute Indian Reservation, Altamont and Vernal. Kiwanis has entered eight teams from the Roosevelt area, Ute Tribe 4, Vernal. 2 and Altamont Alta-mont 1. First round found the Kiwanis team sponsored by the Hullinger Insurance Agency & Roosevelt Standard playing one of the Ute Tribe Recreation teams; Bump's Western Wear & Steve's Cafe also played a Ute team, and Scholes & Sons - Roosevelt Laundry team played a third , Ute team. All games were played at the Randlett gym. Saturday and Monday nights the schedule is as follows, for the second and third rounds: Saturday, February 11 5:30 Altamont vs Frontier Grill - L.. & L. Rubber Rub-ber Welders - Hacking Hardware 7:00 Peterson & Stevens vs Roosevelt No. 8 Randlett No. 2 By'e At a meeting held Monday night at the Ute Tribe Recreation office in Fort Duchesne, a governing board, consisting of Francis Mc-Kinley, Mc-Kinley, Ute' Tribe; Cliff Memmott and Elmer "Bumps" Eldredge, Kiwanis;. Ki-wanis;. Ralph Preece, Vernal and someone from Altamont, was selected se-lected to direct the league Rules governing the league and' a tentative ten-tative ' schedule was approved and considered at the' meeting.
