Show Prepare Lunch i The- Altamont Band Mothers furnished the lunch for the annual Moon Lake Electric meeting at Altamont High School Saturday, Feb. 3. The meeting was conducted by Ray Brown, president of Moon Lake Electric, and speakers were Ray E. Dillman, Fred Hart and Fred Hamlin, director of the Western West-ern Division of REA in Washington, Washing-ton, D. C. Manager Harrison gave a report and' seven directors were elected at the meeting Following the meeting a matinee show was given at the Altamont Theatre, Sponsored by the REA. ROSE PROM HELD The Moon Lake stake Rose Prom was held at Bluebell Feb. 3, and stake MIA officers declared it a success. Decorations on the theme. "China Night" were under the direction of Bluebell and Mt. Emmons wards. Paper lanterns and fans adorned the hall, and a floor show on the theme was presented pre-sented by six girls, under the direction- of Mrs. Louise Bearden, Stake' dance director. Stake MIA leaders from Mt. Emmons ward present at the Rose Prom - were Mr. and Mrs. Max Hartman and Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Swallow. There was a very good representation represen-tation of Explorers and Mia Maids present, from Mt. Emmons ward also. Professor McNamara of the Brigham Young University was teacher Wednesday of the BYU Extension class being held' at Altamont Al-tamont High School. His topic was "Understanding the Planets and Stars in the Universe." |
