Show Too Much Power f Myton's Franklin Peterson, Packy Fenn, Leon Ross and Russel GingeU were just too much for a gallant Tabiona-Hanna team as they piled up a 65-23 score to enter the finals on Saturday night as the team favored to cop the region title and represent Sub-Division "C" in the All-Church tournament tour-nament that starts Feb. 27 at the BYU fieldhouSe. This Myton team has everything to go places in the biggest basketball program in the world. They are easily the most outstanding team to perform in the four Region 14 tournaments staged in Roosevelt, and if they play the kind of ball they are capable of, they are sure to go places. The championship game in the Senior division started off as though it would be a tight game, but the reserve strength of Myton proved the' advantage as they went on to win 59-41. Peterson with 20 points and ' Packy Fenn with 17 led the champs, while Ll'oyd Grant came through with 17 and another spectacular floor game. Trophies Presented An always coveted award in M Men tournaments is the sportsmanship sports-manship trophy. In the Junior class the Maeser First team was judged the winneT, and the Senior trophy went to the Tabiona-Hanna team. These awards' were made by Pres. Archie Johnson, Uintah stake, and Pres. A. Hale Holgate of Duchesne stake, respectively. Pres. Hollis G. Hullinger, of Roosevelt Roos-evelt stake", was chairman of this committee. Awarding the second place trophies tro-phies to Talmage and Duchesne were Duane Price and Norman Labrum, respectively, who are athletic directors' of the Uintah and Roosevelt stakes. Jay Price, and Dick North, who represented Division 14 at the tournament and members of the All-Church basketball basket-ball tournment committee, presented present-ed the awards ,to Neola and Myton. My-ton. George Hacking, director of Sub-Division Sub-Division "C," presided over the after-game ceremonies, and introduced intro-duced the respective MIA and other church leaders who participated partici-pated in the award presentation. All-Stars Chosen Another custom of past tourn-ments tourn-ments has been the selection and announcement of all-star teams from the two divisions. Announcing Announ-cing the following athletes whose skill was recognized as members of the first and second teams was Cliff Memmott, JUNIOR DIVISION FIRST TEAM Glendon Mai-ner Mai-ner and Norman Dye, Neola; Neil Hill, Talmage; Charles Mower, Montwel and Keith Horrocks, La-point. La-point. SECOND TEAM Ferrel Croz-ie'r, Croz-ie'r, Neola; Carl Liddell, Roosevelt Fourth; Phil Brotherson, Talmage; Laird Johnson, Maeser First, and Jack Brotherson, Boneta - Mtn. Home. SENIOR DIVISION FIRST TEAM Jimmy and Ll'oyd Grant, Duchesne; Richard Fenn, Franklin Peterson and Leon Ross, Myton. SECOND TEAM Russell Gin-gell, Gin-gell, Myton; Vern Carter, Tabiona; Jay Gates and Aaron Rasmussen, Ballard, and Keith Rowley, Duchesne. Du-chesne. Lloyd Grant of Duchesne has the distinction of having made the first team in the Senior division last year as his Duchesne team was a potent entry in the 1955 tournament.
