Show Ethel Beebe Attend Funeral In California Mr. and Mrs. Bud Johnson of Lehi brought Mr. and Mrs. Dennie' Ralphs, and Mrs. Vendetta Clark home Saturday, after a trip to Long Beach, Calif., where' they attended at-tended the funeral of a sister, Mrs. Gladys Irene Moray, Gladys, 39, died Jan. 21 in a California hospital of cancer. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Ralphs, born Dec. 29, 1916 in Al-tonah. Al-tonah. She married John Moray and had two children, Marie and Johnnie, all of Long Beach. Services Ser-vices were' held at the Chfistensen Pino Chapel in Long Beach and burial was in the Rose Hill Memorial Mem-orial Park in Long Beach, Calif. Mr. and Mrs, Delbert Shiner, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Shiner and Mrs. Lavear Timothy attended the funeral fu-neral of Mrs. Susie Dennis'on in Price, Jan. 28. Mrs. Dennison was a sister-in-law of Mrs. Delbert Shiner. The family of Bishop and Mrs. J. Arthur Timothy has beeh quite sick for the past week. The baby was taken to Roosevelt for medical, medi-cal, aid on Friday, Bonnie Potts of Duchesne' spent several days visiting her grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. ElVa Snyder. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Potts, came after her Feb. 1st. The Altonah ward Relief Society So-ciety held work meeting on the extra Tuesday, Jan. 31. They quilted quilt-ed on a quilt for the Relief Society. So-ciety. Word was received that Mrs. Earl Dunsmore is recovering from her operation on Jan. 25, very nicely in the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City. She was released from the hospital Jan, 30 and will stay in Salt Lake City before coming home. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Olsen took their baby son to Vernal' Jan. 30 for its six-week check-up. It weighed 4 lbs. 14 oz. at birth, Dec. 10 and weighed 7 lbs. 12 oz. at the check-up. Rex Allred, who is employed at Rangely, Colo., spent the weekend week-end of Jan. 28 with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Allred. Jesse Palm attended a business meeting in Vernal, Monday and Tuesday, , Jan. 30 and 31. Those from Altonah who went to Duchesne Feb. 1 and donated blood to the Blood Bank were: Margaret Maxfield, Lola Jones, Margaret Reay, Mary Riley, Arda Ames, Florence Jessen, Dewey Jessen, Jes-sen, George Fisher, Jr Lester Maxfield and Dean Reay. Helen Palm took a group of the ladies down, but was unable to give blood on account of her health. GIVES PROGRAM The stake Genealogical committee commit-tee gave the program in Sacrament Sacra-ment meeting Sunday, Jan. 29th. Speakers were Sydney Rust of Mt. Home', stake Genealogy chairman; Lester Maxfield and J. Arthur Timothy; solo, "Let Us Labor in the Temple," by Bonnie Ames, with Mrs. Inez Ames accompanist. GRADUATE FROM PRIMARY Boys and girls graduating from Primary and receiving their diplomas di-plomas in Sacrament meeting were Norman Maxfield, Kent Maxfield and Tamora Shiner. Those' from ATtonah attending the supper for the Medical Center in Duchesne Thursday, Feb. 2, were' Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Palm, Mr, and Mrs. Dru Allred, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Jessen, Mrs. Minnie Reay, Mrs. Elva Snyder and Mrs. Mary' Carroll. DAIRY MEETING HELD A Cache Valley Breeding Association As-sociation meeting was held in the Ag room at Altamont Friday, Feb. 2. Those attending from Altonah were Kelly Riley. Ernie Riley, Albert Al-bert Clark, Gilbert Beebe; Chubb Reay, Raymond Reay and Clark Reay. MIA HAS PARTY The Mutual gave a party Tuesday Tues-day night, Jan. 31. The theme was "Meet Me' At Mutual." Cleo Clark, Laura Carroll were narrators;, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Maxfield were the honored couple; duet, by Bonnie Bon-nie Ames and Doris Allred, with James Allred accompanist; Bee Hive girls, Norita Bowden, Peggy Ralphs, Marilyn Young and Mary Ann Riley told what their emblems meant. Boy Scouts sang "Clementine," "Clemen-tine," then dancing and cocoa and cookies were enjoyed by a large crowd. |
