E Hamaker left this week for Ogden to visit her daughter, Morna, who is employ-; employ-; cd there and a son, Pfc. Martin i Hamaker who is in the service stationed at Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Warner I of Tooele came home Sunday where Mr. Warner was inducted ' in the service March 20 and is now stationed with the air corp ; at San Diego, California. His wife and two children will make : their home with her mother, , Mrs. M. E. Hamaker at Bennett for the present. Now that the roads arc in better bet-ter condition, church will be held regularly and MIA will be held Tuesday night. Word has been received by Mr. and Mrs. John Bolton that their son, Cpl. Leland Garr Bolt-! Bolt-! on had arrived at Camp Bowie, Texas, Sunday, March 19. Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Bolton receiv-' receiv-' ed word from their son, Gerald, i that he is stationed somewhere in Italy. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Clark are i the proud parents of a new baby ' born Monday, March 20. Mr. ! Clark is stationed with the arm-i arm-i ed forces in Alabama. Mrs. Clark , is reported to be getting along i fine at the Valley hospital in Vernal. I Weston Justice is visiting his ! wife's parents, Mr. and Mrs. ! Walt Penfold. Weston is an in-i in-i structor in an airplane factory ! in Washington, he has a brother, i Harris Justice who has been overseas for 3 years also visit-f visit-f ing here with him. j Mrs. Nellie Horrocks, sister, , Grace Labrum and sister-in-law, J Florence Adams, spent a few : days last week in Park City I visiting their sister, Phillis Dan-! Dan-! iels and mother, Mrs. Kate ! ' Adams. They returned home Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. John Hall received re-ceived word from their grandson, grand-son, Pfc. Quentin R. Litster, that he has been wounded and is in an army hospital overseas. He is the son of Henry Litster of Ft. Duchesne. Joe Evans underwent an operation oper-ation in Salt Lake City recently. His brother, Dave Evans, is also at the hospital for medical treatment. treat-ment. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Houston attended at-tended the funeral services of Mrs. Mary Swenson last week. They returned home Monday. The Evans Brothers purchased a new car while in Salt Lake recently. |
