Show 55X5XSSX5XSxSX5Xa MT. EMMONS Laforge Dastrup was called to take George Fisher, who is very ill, to the hospital at Salt Lake. Pvt. Evan Hansen is home on a short furlough. Mrs. Hansen went to Salt Lake to meet him. Pete Wall has sold his car to Floyd Case. Mr. Wall is preparing prepar-ing to move away. Mrs. Mildred Greenhalgh is home after an extended visit at Nephi. ' A welcome home party was given in honor of Elder Bovie Mecham. The evening was spent in dancing and a short program consisted of a reading, Gwen Case; a quartet by the Thacker sisters; remarks by Bishop Kerk-siek Kerk-siek and a few words from the guest of honor. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Thacker were visitors of Mr. and Mrs, Rawlins Thacker. Mr. Thacker is employed at Provo. Sacrament meeting was held after Sunday school Sunday. President Edwin Murphy was a visitor and speaker. Mrs. Mary C. Snyder and Bishop Walter Kerksiek were speakers also. The Thacker sisters rendered a song accompanied on the guitar and mandolin by Mr. and Mrs. Roy Thacker. President Murphy awarded the Deacon Quorum. Glen Thacker is home for a little while. Pie is employed at Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Allred of Altonah were visitors at Mt. Emmons Friday. ( Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Dastrup went to Provo Friday to see Mrs. Bench. 1 A farewell party was held at the home of the Misses Lorna and Delma Thacker for the Misses Colleen and Emmogene Wall Wednesday evening. Refreshments Re-freshments were served and the evening was spent playing I games.
